The AAIMM (Association des Amis (= friends) des Instruments et de la Musique Mecanique) was founded in 1975 by Claude Marchal. It has now more than 360 members (mainly French and Belgian, but also international). It publishes a quarterly 36 pages journal (in French) with articles on instruments (technique, history, restoration), organ festivals in France (nearly 20 this year !) and abroad, visits of collections, classified advertisements, etc.
The annual meeting this year was held in Lille (north of France) on Sunday April 21st. On April 24th, the AAIMM has welcomed a party of more than 50 members of the MBSGB, who spent 3 days in Paris visiting various collections.
