Subject: Re: FS Piano Roll Cabinet
The Piano Roll Cabinet is a "plain" design. Smooth top and sides. There must have been a cigarette burn on the left side on top, but years seems to have smoothed it out. The burn is distinctive and visible as well as indented, but smooth and almost adds to its integrity. The feet are approx. 8-10" high. The cabinet is 36" wide and 15" deep. There are wooden slides (20) for narrow shelves to hold piano rolls. I have approx. 8. I am currently using only 3 of them (shelves). Like I said the design is simple and the glass doors are in tact. The glass seems to look old, but if it were replaced, it had to have been in the 40's or 50's. It has never been replaced to my knowledge.
I have no idea of what this piece is going for. It has been well cared for and oiled occasionally with a wood oil. It is a lovely piece. When we were first married we stored piano rolls for our player in it. When we had to give up the piano I wouldn't part with the cabinet.
If someone has an idea or an offer, please send it along. I am located in Western New York State. |
