Pillow pouches
By Les Smith

Also called envelope pouches. It order to achieve uniformity, once you establish the size and method of folding the original pouch, you have to fabricate an insert that is used only in the first step of gluing the pouch lengthwise. When the glue is dry, the insert is withdrawn and the ends are then glued. Obviously, (I hope), the hole is punched in the leather before gluing! All in all, a tedious, but not-too-difficult procedure. Remember, things COULD be worse. You could be doing a set of Schulz pouch pneumatics! :)
