Book-music from Carl Frei archive
By Robbie Rhodes
[ In Digest 960402, new subscriber Gerhard Kern wrote that he and [ organ maker Frederic Keller are making available copies of music [ from the archive created by the master noteur, Carl Frei. I { received this note today from Gerhard:
... An existing template in the archive can be copied at 1:1 to music-roll or book-music, or the template can be transcribed to a different Scale if all specifications are provided.
To make a new Scale we first read the original template into a Midi file, and create a personalized copy of the template [to the specs of the new Scale] on computer roll paper. The customer can punch the music himself, or we can make the music book or roll. It is also possible to punch from the customer's Midi file, if the file has been arranged for a specific respective Scale.
I can quote fees for these services when the task has been precisely specified. The complete archive list is available; just send a short request.
Music arrangements using the computer is my task, and Frederic works at the music of the traditional methods. We have known each other for many years, building organs together, and for some time we've worked in common with the music archive.
Yours,
Gerhard Kern <101670.1066@compuserve.com> |
