Editor Sends Wrong Digest, Almost Nobody Notices
By Karl Petersen
Uh, ur, I think perhaps you sent .02 on .04 instead of .03? Surely I am the only one who noticed! As editor/publisher of three print journals over the years, I must admit to putting the wrong date IN PRINT on the covers at least four times. Astonishing how these trivial details will lie in wait to bite you when you turn your back.
The best..... Karl.
[ Editor's Note: Ooops! I've put absurd dates in the digest themselves [ before, but this time I forgot to edit the batch file that sends the [ evening's digest. I always use the previous night's batch file as [ a "template", and I got distracted. Thanks for the private [ e-mail pointing it out. Surprisingly, you were the only one that [ said anything! Maybe that means that the digests are getting so long [ that people are a day or two behind on reading them ? [ Jody
