=============================================================================
I recently posted an article asking whether it is worth restoring a 1927 Model RT Mason and Hamlin piano and, in general, was told that, since we are definitely going to get use of a piano, it is worth restoring........

Now, I just need to find out who we should have do it.

We live in the Boston area and would like to have someone in this area do the restoration. A couple of things we know at this point after having someone look at the piano:

1. We may or may not need a new sound board --> That is yet to be
determined

2. We need the case refinished

3. Definitely need general work done on the keys, hammers, etc.

4. Need the Ampico player mechanism reworked / fixed

We are looking for recommendations for anyone that has had this kind of work done in the past (both positive and negative) in this area

Also, does the fact that someone is a member of the Piano Technicians Guild really hold any weight??????

Thanks

Paul
