I played with a "Silver Cornet Ragtime Orchestra" of college kids in the 1960's, after "The Red Back Book" LP by Gunter Schuller hit the Number One position in the Classical Recordings Top 40. We were quite disgusted when the music credits of "The Sting" (Paul Newman and Robert Redford) appeared to minimize the compositions of Scott Joplin, even though his music was played throughout the movie. One of our musicians made 15 bumper-stickers for us:

"Scott Joplin got Stung!"
