Introduction
By Brett Mohr
I started my hobby of rebuilding player piano's about 3 years ago when I was at a house that was being torn down and I saw an old player piano laying on it's side out in the yard. I talked to the contractor and we agreeded that I would pay him $10 for the piano and another $10 to haul it to my house. After much head scratching and reading the one book that the public library had on rebuilding player piano's, I had this one playing. Needless to say, I was hooked. So far I have rebuilt 2 simplex players and currently I am rebuilding another Simplex and a Starr player. Now I get people calling me wanting to sell me old players "That just need a little bit of work". Does the same happen to the rest of you?
I am so happy to find this mailing list, because I have so much more to learn and from reading some of the mail form this group, there is a lot of experience to ask help from! So I guess I'll start with a question.
Can anyone tell me what they have found to be a good test vacuum source? I hope to correspond with all of you soon, but you will have to bear with me for I am new to the internet and I am a two finger typest. Glad to be aboard!

P.S. Jody you asked how I found your group, well I did a search in Yahoo with player piano as the key words and after digging around a little I found you. Thanks again.
