Introduction
By Larry Karp

I'm in Seattle; have been collecting mechanical music for about 12 years. My major interest is in early (mostly keywound) cylinder music boxes, but I also like disc boxes, musical automata (including manivelles: the motorless, hand-cranked type), mechanical organs, and most of the nongigantic musical machines, generally the more unusual, the better.

I also collect unusual early (mostly European) phonographs.

Besides collecting, I read and write about the machines (and am always interested in relevant books and original paper items), and do restorations/repairs on my machines.

If I might be of help to you, let me know. If you might be of help to me, let me know.

[ Larry,
[ Welcome aboard.
