Biographic sketch (Jody, edit as you see fit):
I am 55 years old. Live in Vancouver, Washington, with wife & two cats. Wife works in admissions office for local private school. Son and daughter are in University studying theater/communications and primary education respectively.
Work for Hewlett-Packard, designing inkjet printers (mechanical engineering, and engineering management). Hobbies: general aviation pilot, ham radio (Extra class, AA7HL), photography, music (piano and clarinet), astronomy and simple optics design, antique clock restoration.
Recent projects: Morse-code tone decoder (analog) and PC software which decodes and displays clear text on screen along with timing histogram. Complete restoration of 1965 Citabria airplane (100 hp, tubing and fabric fuselage and wings).
Historic projects: with brother Robbie Rhodes, rebuilt (c. 1956) Ampico B action stack, tracker drawer, pump, and pneumatic expression control system.
