Introduction
By Joyce Brite
As requested, here is my introduction to the group.
Greetings! I was recently added to this mailing list which I discovered through a Web page.
My name is Joyce Brite from Manhattan, Kansas (e-mail: brite@ksuvm.ksu.edu).
I grew up with player pianos and have been playing them ever since I could reach the pedals. My Dad had two (working) players, my grandmother had one, my aunts and uncles had them, and most of my siblings now have one. (One of my sisters was even a QRS dealer).
I inherited my player piano from my Dad, a Gulbransen, circa 1924. It has a rinky-tink attachment, and everything still works fine. I enjoy playing both the older and newer rolls. I have everything from Bette Midler and the Beatles to old out-of-print rolls--songs that have been long forgotten.
I'm looking forward to being in this group and talking with other player piano owners. Thanks!
