There will be a "Ragtime Christmas" celebration at the Scott Joplin House State Historical Site in St. Louis on December 15 and 16. J. Hamilton (Jan) Douglas (site administrator for the Joplin House Historical Site) is doing a great job setting up ragtime events at the House. I was at Scott Joplin's birthday celebration this past Friday - performances by Bob Ault, Jan Douglas, John Hancock, Jason Lee (14 yrs old, and playing Joe Lamb!), and the St. Louis Ragtimers with Trebor Tichenor. Wonderful evening, packed house, even birthday cake.
The Scott Joplin House is located in downtown St. Louis, and has tours, ragtime displays, and even some CDs, tapes, books, and sheet music for sale.
