Orchestra Bells
By Fritz Gellerman

Does anyone know why xylophone bars and orchestra bell bars are "cut up" on the back? I am making my third set of metal bell bars and have always wondered why the cut up. By the way, I have a little computer program for calculating the length and nodal point of the bars.
