Music Box Auction Report
By Bill Burns
Here's a brief report on the William H. Bunch auction on 25 October in Concordville, PA.
This guy is SLOW! He talks fast, but sells slow. It took him 4 hours to sell 300 non-musical lots, then another THREE hours to sell 80 lots of clocks and music boxes (he played every music box before selling it!). Al Meekins was helping with the demonstrations, and most of the East Coast dealers were present.
The auction started at 4pm and finished after 11pm - I had a 2.5 hour drive home after that.
I'll pick out the highlights of the music boxes (plus a couple of phonographs). All prices include 10% buyer's premium, and there are NO misplaced decimal points!
