Also, can you help me find answers to the following questions?
1. I just had the Pianomation system installed on my Youg Chang grand by Dick Leonard of San Francisco. Sounds super!!! I find that on the accompanied CD based selections there is far too much bass-boost on the audio playback track I feed off the CD to an small amplifier driving two speakers. I listened to the CD channel on my regular home stereo and confirmed that the bass is much too strong. Anyone else finding the same problem?
2. I had the Pianodisc 3 1/2" floppy palyback and record unit insatlled with the Pianomation playback system. It will not play floppys from my PC that have MIDI files on them. So, I have tried having the Pianodisc unit reformat a 3 1/2" disc so that I could then record onto the disc through the MIDI IN jack with a cable from my PC, which has Cakewak installed and a lot of Cakewalk files I would like to be able to playback on my grand piano. When the Pianodisc unit is close to finishing the reformatting function on a 3 1/2" disc it stops and says "Disk error. Read or seek error" .Any idea what is happening?
3. I have purchased about 10 discs so far, some from QRS, some from Yahama and some from Pianodisc. So far I can hear vast differences in the quality of playing form the recording artists and in the QRS audio track on accompanied selections.
I'd like to buy more but would love to hear from other MIDI equipped piano owners who have listened to discs and may have some advice.
Thanks for your help. I'll look forward to the first Automatic Music list email.
