Introduction
By Jon Hall
Hello,
My name is Jon "maddog" Hall, and I have received a pointer to this list.
While relatively new to automata in the music world, I have been collecting automata for years in the form of clocks, treadle sewing machines, wind-up phonographs and other mechanical things.
In the past two years I have purchased and had restored:
o a 1909 Beckwith Player Piano (Pianola) o a 1903 Wilcox and White Symphony Player Reed Organ
In a separate letter I will be sending an annoucement of an open house sponsored by the people who restored the Wilcox and White organ.
Thanks for adding me to the list.

[ Editor's Note: [ Its a small world. Jon and I have met at least a couple of times [ at computer conferences. Our related hobby interests somehow never [ came up in the conversation. The open house described below sounds like [ a good time. I'm sorry I can't make it. [ Jody |
