Need help with wood harp frame
By Kenneth Keeton

I picked up an Orechestrion/street piano (barrel operation) Well the harp frame is split and I need to reproduce one but need to know the type of wood they used to build with.  Understandably it had to be a very hard wood and one that would be little affected by the weather.  Would Oak be what they used? or is there something else you can recomend that would be better?
                                    Thank you,  Kenneth
