Garage Sale/Silent Auction "rules"
By Don Carr
Boy, I am really surprised at the response to my "silent auction." I thought maybe I'd get one or two responses. But this is really an active group! I've been asked to clarify some "rules" -- RULES? OK:
The cut off date is July 10. I'm moving on July 30 so anything purchased must be picked up, shipped, or stored by the 25th of July.
Yes, there are minimum bids on the Ampico (current offer $4000), Wurlitzer (min $3500), and Mutoscope (current offer $900). Everything else will be sold for whatever amount is bid by July 10. Yes, even if it's $1.
If you make a bid on an item, I will notify you via Email of subsequent bids in the event you want to increase your bid.
I can FAX a photo of: the Ampico -- you can see the cabinet style; the Wurlitzer -- get a general idea of what it looks like; the Mutoscope -- in case you don't know what it is!; Of course, you won't be able to see details via FAX. For those with serious bids, I will arrange to send photos on these items.
I'll reserve the right to remove an item from the sale. For example, the Regina. This item had a single offer last night of $9000 and I accepted it. Please don't offer $20K -- I'd feel sick!
Anyway, thanks for the response. This could be fun and I may not have to move so much stuff!
