Pianocorder (response)
By Mike Jardin
Hello! Thanks for all the great information on Pianocorder. It put a whole new spin on the information that I'd already collected.
In response to Jody's question, Pianocorder systems (and parts) can still be purchased through Bob Baker of Electronic Orchestras. At this point I think he's selling the units with a refurbished cassette player and power supply. He also sells a MIDI converter called the MC-2 which is rather pricey, but would be a necessity for me.
I *think* it will be fun to purchase and use the Pianocorder. I love my old player, but it really does require a fair amount of babysitting when playing. Especially when I play a roll that does not have the reroll hole in the correct tracker position. I've made many mad dashes to the piano barely shutting it off in time to save the end of the roll! With the Pianocorder installed in my other piano, I'll be able to sit back and enjoy! Thanks again for all the info!!
