Ervin Nyiregyhazi, Ampico Artist
By Christine Robinson

In 030907 MMDigest, Marc Goodman showed an interest in pianist
Erwin Nyiregyhazi. Recently I read an enlightening biography about
him called 'Psychology of a Musical Prodigy' by Geza Revesz, (1925).
My library obtained this for me in the UK and if they cannot find me
a book here they go on a world-wide search. In fact, I've just borrowed
one they got for me from a university in the USA! It's a good library.

[ "Historically, it should be noted that Nyiregyhazi was considerably
[ less than thrilled (this is putting it mildly!) with the quality of
[ the reproduction of his work on piano rolls." -- Robbie
